Jeannie Collins is a Family Nurse Practitioner and a native of Massachusetts, where she received her undergraduate Bachelor of Science in Nursing with a minor in social work from Regis College in 2010. After many years as a Registered Nurse in various clinical settings in North Carolina, she earned a Master of Science in Nursing from Frontier Nursing University in 2024. Jeannie has 14 years of diverse clinical experience caring for patients of all ages and backgrounds in many settings, including general medicine, surgical, critical care, pediatrics, adult, women’s health, geriatrics, home health, oncology, and peri-operative day surgery. She pursued her Family Nurse Practitioner degree to help serve the community by increasing access to high-quality care. Jeannie’s patient care philosophy is holistic, individualized, and nonjudgmental and focuses on establishing a trusting relationship to provide more comprehensive and inclusive healthcare. She values empowering her patients to make informed decisions and take charge of their health through a patient-centered approach to care. She believes in taking extra time to listen ensuring each person is heard and validated; this active listening will address each concern and guide the treatment plan. Areas of interest include the management of acute and chronic diseases of all ages, mental health, women’s health as well as providing breastfeeding support through promotion and education to families. Outside of work, you may find her at a local park or a soccer game with her husband and two children. She enjoys yoga, swimming, hiking with her family, and snuggling with her rescue pups. Jeannie enjoys enhancing her knowledge with continued educational opportunities and is a member of The American Association of Nurse Practitioners and Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society. Jamie is a board Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner with 13 years of experience working in both Pediatric Emergency Medicine and Pediatric Primary Care. She worked as an RN in Emergency Medicine for 7 years as well. She has a passion for lactation education and support and is currently completing a Lactation Consultant program through NC State. She values the role of education in empowering patients and families. She also values patient choice in healthcare. She is thrilled to have the opportunity to spend more time getting to know her patients and incorporate a more wholistic approach to pediatric health care.

Jamie graduated from the University of San Diego with a Master of Science in Nursing, as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner. She holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Kinesiology from San Diego State University.
